Tidbits from Famitsu Interview
FFVII Remake Intergrade.
- Photo Mode. Unlocked at the beginning, no requirement. Can't change pose like Kingdom Hearts III Re:Mind.

- Why chose Weiss?
Nomura: Because Sephiroth already appeared as the strongest enemy, we chose other strong boss that can make an impact. I'm looking forward how the fight gonna be between Cloud and Weiss. I proposed to include Weiss as secret boss since PS4 ver.

- Weiss battle seems to take place in battle simulator, anything more about Weiss's event, how the battle gonna be?
Nomura: Details about Weiss will be announced in the future.

- There'll be new boss character, is it different character from Weiss? If it wasn't Weiss, did the character already make an appearance in the other compilation?
Nomura: New episode which featuring Yuffie will have different boss from Weiss. More will be revealed in the future.

- What kind of new character(Sonon)? What is his relation with Yuffie?
Nomura: In FFVII Remake, we already knew there're other Avalanche aside from Barret's. Yuffie joining with the other Avalanche in this episode.
Sonon is the member of that Avalanche team and he'll be Yuffie's partner.
Yuffie's Mog Hoodie represented as covert operation outfit but is also a homage to Dirge of Cerberus FFVII.

- Yuffie and Sonon pair battle.
Nomura: It'll be different from the main battle system, you can't control Sonon but you can give order to Sonon in tactical mode. As new feature, Yuffie can fight while coordinating with Sonon(co-op moves).

- Game system in part 1 is already solid, we know which parts to improve. Part 2 will be directed by Hamaguchi Naoki(Part 1 co-director).

- Intergrade
It's surprise homage to the original FFVII International.
Intergrade also means comrade, acts as the between part 1 and part 2. It also means transition, transition to next generation console, transition to next part.

The First Soldier
- The First Soldier doesn't exist yet in this era. Soldier candidates play a role in a soldier project establishment. The game doesn't have deep story but backbone and settings exist. Of course there'll be story about the legendary soldier when he's young.

- Battle rule.
There's solo and trio match. The last person or team is the winner.

- Battle royale type games tends to make new players worrying about the level gap. Can you tell us what kind of balance you're aiming?
Nomura: There'll be leveling in this game by doing monster hunting, collecting items, etc. New or light users should prepare by leveling and enjoy the battle to see their hard work.

Ever Crisis
- A lot of fans asking about compilation remaster and such but why did you choose to remake them?
Nomura: The concept is original FFVII as base and to enjoy the compilation casually. I don't think FFVII compilation will be over with this.

- Does the game story goes in one way from BC FFVII to DC FFVII or FFVII EC reconstructed all those games?
Nomura: Each games will be separated. Players can choose which title and which chapter to play. It'll be in chronological order.

- Chapter-structured.
Nomura: New chapter will be added every month.

- Command battle RPG.
Nomura: Original active time battle in FFVII as a base. We're sticking with the original materia system. Make use of weapon, materia, summon, limit break as the battle unfold.

- Deformed 3D character, comic like 2D character design.
Initially we wanted to make it 3DCG model but to fully express the original game atmosphere at the time we need to address many problems.

- Voice acting.
Nomura: We're currently considering if there'll be voices in the game. I have many titles that I'm currently working on and tight schedule so I want to avoid new voice recording as possible. But because FFVII EC is based on compilation of FFVII, isn't it better to have no voices at all?
There is also opinion that battle need voice acting. It's in consideration but it's possible that we're gonna take minimum voice acting.
