The production of "Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Turning the Tide of Walpurgis" was announced today at the "Puella Magi Madoka Magica Anniversary Stage" event held on 25 April 2021 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of "Puella Magi Madoka Magica". It will be produced as a legitimate sequel to "Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie: Part 3 - Rebellion". The cast will include Aoi Yuuki as Madoka Kaname, Chiwa Saito, Kaori Mizuhashi, Eri Kitamura, Ai Nonaka, Kana Asumi, and Emiri Kato. Akiyuki Shinbo will continue as the general director, Gen Urobuchi as the scriptwriter, Ume Aoki as the original character designer, Yuki Kajiura as the music composer and Shaft as the animation studio. The visuals have been drawn by Junichiro Taniguchi who is in charge of character design.
The release date of "Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Turning the Tide of Walpurgis" has not been announced yet, so we should wait for further information.
