The production of the movie version is the first part of the 10th anniversary project of Mawaru-Penguindrum titled [RE:cycle of the PENGUINDRUM]. The 24-episode TV anime will be reconstructed, and completely new scenes will be added. The second part of the project will be a crowdfunding campaign. The crowdfunding campaign will start at 19:00 JST on 8 April 2021 on the crowdfunding site Ubgoe.
The anniversary logo and an illustration of the Princess of the Crystal drawn by Lily Hoshino have been released. A special
website has also been opened.
